DALE MOLLOY

INTRODUCING  DALE MOLLOY

Hi Dale,

We’d love for you to tell us about yourself and your career.

I’ve had the privilege of embarking on a remarkable journey as a professional dancer and creative director, starting at Legs Dance Studios and continuing at the prestigious Brent Street Studios in Sydney, Australia. Where I honed my craft under world-class instructors including Jacquie Howard , this laid the foundation for a career that would take me to incredible places around the globe.

A major highlight of my career was being a dancer in Hans Zimmer’s live arena tour. This tour was an extraordinary experience, and it was filmed and turned into the feature film 'Diamond in the Desert' in which I also feature. Performing alongside such a legendary composer and being part of this monumental production is unforgettable. In addition to this, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with artists like Delta Goodrem and Kelly Clarkson, further enriching my artistry and expanding my perspective on the world of dance.

I also had the chance to perform in Monster Rock at Universal Studios Singapore, where I played Dracula in a triple-threat role—acting, singing, and dancing—which fueled my passion for performance even more.

Most recently, I returne to Royal Caribbean where I have performed on and off for many years, this time on Ovation of the Seas, performing the iconic show Live Love Legs.

.

My decision to move to the U.S. was driven by the abundant opportunities for artists. Joining Chace Dance Company, where I’ll lead elite-level training in Jazz, Musical Theatre, Latin Fusion, and more, marks an exciting new chapter in my career.

Throughout my journey, I’ve performed in multi-million-dollar casino shows around the world. I’ve taken the stage at Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore for Lightseeker, been part of SolAria for Angelis Productions, and shared the stage with illusionist Michael Boyd in Bon Voyage at Star Casino Australia. These experiences have solidified my reputation as a versatile entertainer.

In addition to performing, I co-own Mission Entertainment Co. with my husband Adrian Bennett. Through this company, we present full-scale production shows like Vegas After Dark and Iconic across Australia, while also nurturing talent through our Mission Master Course, designed to equip aspiring performers with the skills to succeed. We plan to expand our shows and courses to the U.S.

I’m excited to make an impact in the U.S. dance scene and join Chace Dance Company to mentor and shape the next generation of dancers. From LA to Broadway, I’m ready to embrace every challenge and seize the opportunities ahead with passion and dedication.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?

I've come to realize that the entertainment industry is incredibly demanding, pushing performers to not only showcase their talent but also their resilience. Rejection is just part of the journey; for every “yes,” there are countless “no’s.” Auditions can be intense, with fierce competition from many equally talented individuals, making each one a precious opportunity to shine. Even when facing illness or injury, pushing through becomes necessary, as perseverance is often the key to success. Over the years, I've learned that being excellent on stage is just one part of the equation. Personal qualities like likability, professionalism, and teamwork are just as important. A bad attitude can derail even the most promising opportunities. That’s why building resilience, nurturing a true passion, and committing to constant growth are essential for navigating the ups and downs of the entertainment world and finding long-term success.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

What sets me apart and what I’m most proud of is my unwavering focus from the tender age of 5 to be a significant presence in the entertainment industry. That determination has never wavered. Even in primary school, I was already directing and creating shows for my friends, driven by an innate knowing that I was destined to traverse the globe as a dancer. I take immense pride in ignoring the voices urging me to conform to conventional academic paths; instead, I embraced my uniqueness and creativity. This decision has led to a life rich with experiences, constantly taking me around the world since I began my professional journey as a dancer at age 17. I’m proud of my ability to stay true to myself, to know my purpose, and to take bold risks and leaps of faith. From dancing in multi-million dollar shows to producing and creating my dream productions that have toured Australia, and sharing the stage with household names, each moment reaffirms the wisdom of following one’s passion. I firmly believe that if you have a passion, you must pursue it relentlessly. Don’t ever doubt its validity or worthiness. Some spend their whole lives searching for their passion, so if you’re fortunate enough to know yours, chase it with unwavering determination. Every second is worth it.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?

As a documentary enthusiast, I’m deeply fascinated by the golden era of Hollywood, the heyday of MGM, and the glamour of old movie stars. Watching documentaries about these subjects feels like stepping into another world, one that fuels my love for classic movie musicals. The vibrancy, excitement, and dreamlike quality of those productions continue to inspire my work today.

I also love watching shows on YouTube, especially iconic performances from the old Lido de Paris, the Moulin Rouge in Paris, and the glamour of traditional Vegas showgirl productions. There's something about the artistry, elegance, and sheer spectacle of those shows that draws me in and keeps me captivated.

When it comes to creating shows, I’m always inspired by the allure of old Hollywood. The rich colors, larger-than-life energy, and sense of fantasy in those productions drive me to bring a little bit of that magic into my own work. Of course, in today’s world, I rely on modern tools to help bring my creative ideas to life. Apps like Canva, Photoshop, and Wix have become my go-to platforms for designing and crafting content that’s not only beautiful but also user-friendly. They help me present my ideas in the clearest way possible, with ease and precision.
